As this semester is coming to an end, I have completed 3 projects total for my graphic design studio class: #AlongTogether, Fluid Design and Tickets: The Journeys and Memories.

The first project I did this semester was #AloneTogether. Our team was inspired by the #AloneTogether by Hyperakt. During the pandemic, there were a lot of restrictions with people being together. Furthermore, mental health, especially depressive disorder, has increased quickly and become a noteworthy issue all around the world. We wanted to create a project that shows social distancing and our concerns on mental health, and finally decided on creating an installation.

In our final installation, we went with a “fluid” idea. We rolled up every poster to add more dimension, and linked them up with fishing wire. We extended the chain all the way up to the ceiling to make the viewers’ vision reach all the way to the ceiling and lead to other team’s projects. We made our eight axis with black vinyl to contrast from our colorful riso prints. In order to reveal the axis, we have the riso chain drift to two sides, creating a current like form. This current form flows with the theme, and invites people into our class show at the entrance.

For my final project, I worked on a lexicon for my future Thesis. My topic was on tickets. Ticket: The Journeys and Memories.

Life is a journey, I would like to document my senior year in college with tickets. The thesis will consist of a video of my life with a documentary of tickets. In addition, an interactive book will contain photographs and tickets that can be ripped to reveal my year. I am a designer that draws inspiration from daily lives, and this will best represent my work and myself.

I found a bunched of tickets I kept through out years, scan them and printed them out to included them in the book and make it more interactive.

I created a book with photos, previous work and even tickets for future events. I can’t wait to explore more in this topic and have more work for it next semester.
