In the beginnin’, I was drawn to a cute type called “Avocado Creamy” for this project. Since the name is related to avocado, I wanted to deliver The idea of healthy eating.

Avocado Creamy Font

I thought I would display this font with the message indoor, either in the kitchen or the dining area remind people to eat healthy.

I wanted to create a photo frame for display in the kitchen since I have gotten more into cooking during the pandemic and be more aware of what I was consuming.

However, I thought this idea was not strong enough and I wanted to do more or make the message less obvious.

Next, I tried French Fried Fonts. This font is interesting, because it’s made with images of french fries.

This gave me the idea to use actual food to create the display. Therefore, I came up with a few mockups.

Mockup For The Final Idea

I enjoyed this idea, but message was too strong at this point. The word “healthy” was too much in the audience’s face which might not be as effective.

Therefore, I decided to use McDonald’s tagline: i’m lovin’ it.

This tagline is well known and immediately have people think about McDonald’s without actually saying the brand. I want to keep the idea of creating the message from food, but instead of using french fries, I decided to use fresh healthy food.

I had a hard time finding the font for this tagline, but I think it’s Lovin Sans made by Leo Burnett with Brian Loehr’s involvement.

The font is used on McDonald’s website as well.

I started creating the final display by going to Wholefoods to purchase fresh healthy food.

Wholefoods
After my Wholefoods run, I went to McDonald’s to pick up a few items because I wanted to include some products or the packagings for my final installation.
After gathering everything I need, I began to set up my installation by cutting out food into the shapes of the letters to create my message. The process was messy and yummy. :D
Here is what the message looks like. But it’s not enough, I want to include more elements.

Here is what the final installation looks like!

I put healthy food into the McDonald’s packagings to show contrast and put them next to the message. By doing this, I think I can draw the audience’s attention and better deliver the message.

And in the end, I created an “ad” to promote healthy food.
